I am a personal trainer in Canterbury, specialising in calisthenics and bodyweight training.

Calisthenics is as old as the Greek Empire and has been practiced by cultures all over the world for centuries. It is the purest way of getting in shape, and all you need is your own body and strength of mind. Nothing works better.
Being a gymnast from a young age, this has enabled me to build a solid foundation of knowledge when it comes to mastering your own body with little or no equipment. I’ve been personal training in and around Canterbury since 2012.
My training methods are progressive, dynamic and most importantly fun.

Calisthenics comes from two Greek words: kalos, beautiful, and sthenos, strength. This name pretty much sums up what this sport is all about. Calisthenics, which is also often dubbed a ‘street workout’ owing to the fact that it commonly takes place outside, is a creative form of training that takes place with minimal equipment. Instead, through body tension and your bodyweight, complex training sessions can be carried out. Building up strength and having fun when training are always main priorities.

The great thing is that thanks to the great choice of exercises Calisthenics Training is suitable for virtually every individual: in this way beginners can practise Calisthenics without a problem, there are however units that are clearly more demanding, where the greatest possible body control and body tension is necessary. As a general rule, you can do the exercises at any time, in any place. It doesn’t matter if you are at home, travelling, in the garden or in the park, you can train whenever and wherever suits you.
What is more, Calisthenics is the ideal way to achieve your various training goals, like muscle gains, improved fitness or better body image and control. At the same time there are also lots of gentle exercises, which are brilliant ways to rehabilitate your body, for example to combat back pain. Calisthenics also offers impressive possibilities for preventative training to prevent injuries or other health complaints.

Core Muscles

The Abdominal Wall has many different layers of muscles and in order to get the best results, we must work all of these together. This improves the body’s ability to support and protect the lower back, whilst making the entire body stronger for any activity. There is a huge variety of fun and effective exercises to create a healthy back whilst also giving you the flat stomach that everyone desires.

Strength & Conditioning

Strength training focuses on applying a resistance to a given muscle to increase the strength and tone of that muscle. Using a variety of resistance techniques, including free weights, kettlebells and body weight, set in a specific periodised program, will cause the body to adapt and strengthen itself. This, in turn will create a body that is stronger, healthier and looks fantastic.

If you want a stronger, faster, leaner body now and improved performance in the sports you love – power training is for you. Power Training continually challenges the muscles and forces them to adapt to ensure you never plateau with your strength gains. Power Training utilizes total-body exercises and many different training techniques and styles to make sure you attain significant gains, build muscle and strength, boost metabolism, and improve your athletic performance

Posture is the word to describe the position and structure of the body. In this day and age, most of live sedentary lifestyle that throws out the body’s alignment and can cause pain. We start to get some muscles that are short and tight and some that are long and weak. By re addressing the balance between the two, we achieve fantastic aesthetic results whilst creating a pain free and strong lower back.

Functional training

Functional training has its origins in rehabilitation, often used to retrain patients with movement disorders. Now it is widely used to condition the entire body with amazing results. Functional training using exercises which work in multiple planes and attempts to develop exercises which allow individuals to perform the activities of daily life more easily and without injuries. Incorporated into any training programme, it will make your body move and perform at significantly higher levels.

The most important factor to health and wellness is nutrition. What you put into your body affects the way it looks, feels and performs. Analyzing your diet using a food diary and then following a structured and progressive food plan that is realistic and achievable will help you to lose unwanted weight, whilst significantly improving your health and lifestyle.

Max Interval

Maximal Interval Training is the fastest, most effective way to burn the maximum amount of calories in the shortest space of time. This form of training involves maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest. It utilizes plyometric drills, intervals of strength, power, resistance, with ab and core exercises. A great way to improve your fitness and get the hard body you’ve always dreamed of.
